Spirit Waking
On the surface I was a pretty average kid raised in a safe and comfortable home in Canada. But I struggled through a very conservative Asian upbringing in a family with war trauma, within a North American culture... this struggle gave me the curiosity and courage to step outside of my comfort zone.
After going through the grind of a university degree, then 6 years working in the office as an engineer, I eventually left it all behind to go explore the world. I remember telling a friend "I don't what I'm looking for, but I know it's out there in the world and I have to go find it."
Along my travels I discovered a lot about myself, and what I was looking for. I lived many stories - truly unique experiences ranging from wilderness adventures to festivals, medicine ceremonies and intentional communities.
Coming home to the epic mountains and oceans of British Columbia, I have grounded into intentional community, engaged in environmental activism, and found the healing path. As far and wide as I've explored geographically, I have searched inside, and learned to love and understand myself. If death came knocking on my door, I would be ready to die.
