All I Need is my Bicycle

In summer 2020 Andrew cycle toured halfway across Canada. He left July 10 from Whistler, British Columbia, arriving exactly 60 days later, on September 10, in Toronto, Ontario. He rode 4500 km over 40 days of riding, averaging ~113 km per day. He had some massive tailwinds that propelled him to days of 193 and 246 km!

Perhaps the most spectacular part of his journey though can't be measured in statistics. It was the incredible stories - people he inspired, people that helped him, places he snuck into to camp.

What this adventure contributed to his life also can't be measured - peace of mind, confidence. This is the kind of story we live for as humans. This is the kind of story we take to our grave. After a story like this, Andrew feels ready to die, knowing that he really lived.

Andrew appeared on two podcasts speaking about his cycle tour. He also blogged and posted pictures along the way. These are below.
